Thorbjørn Jagland 

Strasbourg, 16 May 2013 - On 20-21 May 2013, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland is making a working visit to the Russian Federation and will have meetings in Sochi and Moscow with the highest authorities.

Topics for discussion will include issues of mutual interest and relevance for the Council of Europe and the Russian Federation.

Meetings are scheduled with Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and with Justice Minister Alexander Konovalov. Secretary General Jagland will be received in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation where he will meet Chairman Sergey Naryshkin. He will speak at the joint meeting of the Duma Foreign Affairs Committee and the Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Development.

Mr Jagland with also meet His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.
