Secretary General meets UK Attorney General
Dominic Grieve and Thorbjørn Jagland 

Strasbourg, 20.01.2014 - Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland meets Dominic Grieve QC, the Attorney General of the United Kingdom.

The main topics of discussion are the report of the UK Parliament’s Joint Committee on the Draft Voting Eligibility (Prisoners) Bill, and the Council of Europe’s current open call for information, proposals and views on the issue of the longer-term reform of the system of the European Convention on Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights.

Mr Grieve is Member of Parliament for Beaconsfield. He was appointed Attorney General in 2010 and is a Privy Councillor.
