Declaration of the Committee of Ministers on the Resolution on a moratorium on the death penalty at the United Nations

Strasbourg, 21 November 2012 - The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe welcomes the adoption by an unprecedented number of States within the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly of a draft Resolution calling for a global moratorium on the use of the death penalty.
